this 'thought' is mainly about not losing focus on the present with longing for the past. Inspired by the work 'piss christ' by andres serrano, i distance myself from past regrets. like how serrano expressed himself on the view of the depicted.

because I do not know any real personal anger, this work is quite subdued. it depicts a mechanism that resists the origins of my hatred for greed and lust for power.

the daily struggle. in the rhythm of a breath, the lungs of this work change their minds constantly.

the interplay of lines symbolizes a broken mirror in which a reflective rose shows the superficiality of vanquished glory.

mind your step
'hoogmoed komt voor den val' is a dutch saying. it tells the listener that pride is the cause of ultimate failure through bad self-judgement. in this work, the manic tunnel arrives at the ultimate.
